Article Marketing
De laatste tijd ben ik me gaan verdiepen in ‘article marketing’. Voor diegene die niet weet wat het is, een korte uitleg: Er zijn op het web veel zogenaamde ’article directories’. De bekendste daarvan is Ezinearticles.com (PR6), maar er zijn er nog veel meer van PR6 tot PR0. Je kunt in zo’n directory je zelf geschreven artikel plaatsen en vaak mag je in het artikel ook 1 of 2 links plaatsen. Daarnaast kun je in de resourcebox iets schrijven over jezelf en ook daar een link plaatsen naar bijvoorbeeld je blog of een eBook.
Wat zijn de voordelen? Het artikel kun je plaatsen in een relevante categorie, de links plaats je onder de relevante keywords en daarmee krijg je goede one-way links, wat weer erg goed is voor de Google rankings van de website op deze keywords. De geplaatste artikelen (met links en resourcebox) worden ook nogal eens overgenomen door andere websites en blogs, wat je nog meer one-way links oplevert. Een volgende voordeel betreft de bezoekers die direct via dat artikel je website gaan bezoeken (traffic).
Maar er is wel 1 belangrijk nadeel of probleem, namelijk het schrijven van artikelen is behoorlijk arbeidsintensief, zeker als het niet je moedertaal is.
Ik ben daarom nu aan het experimenteren met SimplyPLR. Dit is een webservice die me elke maand 225 artikelen levert die ik vervolgens mag plaatsen op mijn blogs of websites. Ook kunnen deze artikelen ‘gespint’ of ‘gesponnen’ worden. Dit betekent dat je van 1 basis artikel door variaties in de tekst simpel een aantal varianten kunt maken zodat je geen ‘duplicate content’ website krijgt. Zoals gezegd ben ik er net mee begonnen en vul er o.a. de site Howto-directory.com mee. De opbrengsten komen uit Adsense en Affiliate-inkomsten. Ik zal je binnenkort op de hoogte brengen van de resultaten.
